Winners of the first edition of Mazaarat International Photo Festival

Astan Quds Razavi Institute of Artistic Creations, in cooperation with the Deputy of International Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi Scientific and Cultural Organization, in view of the cultural development of the Islamic world, preserving the cultural and spiritual heritage of Islamic countries and places of pilgrimage, organized the 1st Mazaarat International Photo Festival to use the experience and diligence of all photographers, and open a new window to record the magnificent moments of prayer and architecture.

The call for this festival in the two categories of "Prayer" and "Architecture of Islamic mausolea" was announced in February 2019 and a total of 8 thousand 127 works made up from 6 thousand 294 photos from Iranian photographers and 1 thousand 833 photos from photographers from 33 different countries of the world were sent to the secretariat.

The closing ceremony of Mazaarat Photo Festival with the announcement of its winners was held in Mashhad on August this year without the presence of local and foreign winners due to the restrictions of Corona virus and was broadcast live on the Instagram platform for the audience .

The list of winners is as follows:

Category of "Architecture of Islamic mausolea"

First place: Rasool Alawadi from Iraq, winner of the festival statuette and 1500 euros
Second place: Alireza Rahmani from Takestan, winner of the statue of the festival and 1000 euros
Third place: Mohammad Atai from Tehran, winner of the statue of the festival and 750 euros

Category of "Prayer" 

First place: Hasan Altaif from Bahrain, winner of the statuette of the festival and 1500 euros
Second place: Mehmet Aslan from Turkey, winner of the statue of the festival and 1000 euros
Third place: Mehrdad Vahad Yousef Abad from Tabriz, winner of the statue of the festival and 750 euros

Festival Director Special Award: Mohammad Javad Mashhadi from Mashhad, the statue of the festival and 1000 euros
